David Bain's retrial has been moved from August to February next year.
Bain was freed by a Privy Council decision last year after serving 13 years in jail for murdering his father, mother, brother and two sisters in 1994 in their family home in Dunedin.
A series of pre-trial arguments about the retrial have been held.
