KEY POINTS:
Convicted multiple murderer David Bain will find out tonight (NZ time) whether his last ditch effort to get a retrial has been successful, with the Privy Council set to announce its decision.
Bain was jailed a decade ago for slaying five members of his family in their Dunedin home in 1994.
He had his appeal heard by the Privy Council in London in March, after an earlier bid in the Court of Appeal for a retrial was turned down.
Bain's lawyer Michael Reed QC said today the Privy Council would deliver its decision tonight.
