A Masterton woman charged with being an accessory to murder was allowed bail at Masterton District Court yesterday and remanded without plea to May 21 by Judge Bill Hastings so reports can be completed.
Cassandra Lynn Granich, 23, is the sixth person charged in relation to the death of Featherston man Glen Jones who was bashed to death in his home last January.
Granich, 23, is charged under the Crimes Act 1961 with "knowing that Kristofer Jones had been a party to the crime of murder tampered with evidence against the said Kristofer Jones in order to enable him to avoid arrest".
Bail conditions stipulate that Granich is to reside at a specific address, not apply for a passport and not to associate with Hayden Ranson, Kristofer Jones, Matthew McKinney, Toni Miller or Tariana Jones.
All except Miller are charged with murder and aggravated burglary. Miller faces aggravated burglary.
