A south Auckland businessman charged with murdering a teenage tagger was released on bail today, despite death threats against him.
Bruce William Emery, 50, who is accused of stabbing Pihema Clifford Cameron, 15, to death on a Manurewa street on January 26, was granted bail when he appeared in Manukau District Court.
After his previous court appearance last week, police confirmed Emery's lawyer Chris Comeskey had received an anonymous message warning Emery would be killed if he was bailed.
Emery is due back in court on April 2 for a pre-depositions hearing.
