Masterton police are still seeking a man who snatched a handbag from an elderly woman in Jackson St on Friday and made off with $120 in cash.
The woman, aged 84, was walking along Jackson St about 3.50pm when the man, on a bicycle, rode up alongside her, snatched the handbag and took off at speed into Queen St, pursued by several people who responded to the woman's calls for help.
Senior Sergeant Warwick Burr said the bag snatcher has been described by witnesses as being a Maori aged in his early 20s.
Street camera images show he was of slim build, was not wearing a shirt, was clean shaven, and had "fuzzy hair", Mr Burr said.
