KEY POINTS:
A badly burned man is Middlemore Hospital after a suspicious house fire in Manukau early today.
Fire Service spokesman Steve Smith said today firefighters arrived at the suburban Favona home just after 3am and found four different seats of fire in the property.
The blaze was contained and the man, who was the only occupant in the house, was conveyed to hospital with serious burns to his body.
Fire investigators were at the scene later this morning.
