The less than summery weather has delayed the opening of the Greytown Swimming Pool until next Saturday.
The pool is being refurbished and will look like a brand new pool once complete, said Helen McNaught, amenities manager for South Wairarapa District Council.
"Unfortunately we haven't had quite as much fine weather as we needed to get everything done, so the pool opening date has had to be put back by another week.
"The entire interior surface has been fibreglassed and repainted.
"We've done major work on the old skimmer system which means it will be easier for staff to maintain the water quality."
