Bad weather in the central North Island is causing flight cancellations and delays.
Air New Zealand says about dozen flights in and out of New Plymouth have been cancelled affecting around 600 passengers.
The airline said a significant number of regional flights have been either cancelled or delayed.
It said airports from New Plymouth across to Napier and Gisborne and north are expected to be marginal today with strong crosswinds and thunderstorms.
