People looking forward to new season potatoes will have to be a bit more patient than usual.
Bad weather means they're few on the ground.
Pukekohe grower Kevin Wilcox says new season crops are down 15 per cent on last year.
He told Newstalk ZB "We're going to see a shortening of supply, mainly due to weather issues. So there's going to be limited numbers in store so they may be struggling for availability."
It's expected to be another two or three weeks before supplies start coming through properly.
