A community blackboard has been set up to give people a voice.
Wairarapa Resource Centre in King St has developed the blackboard on the wall outside the recycling and employment training centre in the hope people will use it as a forum to share ideas with others.
The centre's trust chairwoman, Sandy Ryan, said they hoped people would chalk their ideas on the board which has the words "If I Could I Would" painted as a starting point for the author scribing their message for all to read. "We want people to come and record their feelings and what things they might like to change about living in Masterton," she said.
It was hoped councillors and members of other community boards would regularly check out the board and any postings to help them make positive decisions which the community might like, Mrs Ryan said.
"We hope people in influential positions will pop down and see what is top for people."
