Bach owners are being warned of a possible phone scam in which the caller claims to be from AMI Investments.
AMI Insurance said that company was not linked in any way to it.
The company had been made aware of people being called and asked if they owned a bach, Head Corporate Affairs Craig Dowling said.
Anyone receiving such an unsolicited call should hang up and notify AMI on 0800 100 200, he said.
The company issued a similar warning in 2010 about another potential telephone scam where people claimed to be from the company asked for sums of $10,000 to $25,000 to be invested at an interest rate of 13 per cent.
