Police are investigating the death of a baby boy in Auckland from head injuries.
The 1-year-old lived at a house on Princes St in Otahuhu and was taken to Starship hospital on Friday night. He died on Sunday afternoon.
A Counties Manukau police spokesman said it would be several days before police could make a statement.
Asked whether police were treating the death as suspicious, the spokesman said: "Nothing's been ruled out. We're keeping an open mind."
