Celebrity super-nanny Dorothy Waide is to share her "baby guru" secrets in Masterton next week.
Wairarapa Parents Centre spokeswoman Karina Gough said the organisation will host Ms Waide, who will lead a seminar at Masterton YMCA on Monday on "how to sleep and settle little ones aged up to 12months".
"She has brought her immense experience and expertise back to New Zealand and her nurturing and holistic approach to sleep, settling and eating habits is creating a generation of confident parents with content babies and happy toddlers."
Ms Waide has spent over 30 years helping families, Ms Gough said, using her experience as a Karitane nurse and helping international celebrities like Hollywood stars Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Russell and Danielle Crowe.
Sleep issues are not uncommon, Ms Waide said, and "sleep is just as important a nutrient as food".
Her "down-to-earth support" promotes "a healthy blend of starting out the first few months with attachment parenting transitioning to nurturing within boundaries - a positive parenting style that proves reliable in raising a child through to adulthood". The seminar runs for two hours from 9.30am on Monday.
Wairarapa Parents Centre members $10, non-members $15.
