The hospital care received by an Invercargill mother just a day before her baby girl suffered critical injuries is under review.
Noklair Milton was rushed to hospital after being injured at her Invercargill home early on Monday morning.
The 3-week-old remains in an induced coma at Auckland's Starship Hospital, where a spokeswoman tonight said she was in a critical but stable condition.
Noklair's mother, Sucharitta Milton, reportedly visited Southland Hospital the day before she was injured.
Southern District Health Board today confirmed it was reviewing the care Mrs Milton received.
