KEY POINTS:
A Fijian-Indian man arrested after a spate of aggravated robberies in Wellington over the past week has been remanded in custody.
The 30-year-old man appeared at Wellington District Court today facing four charges of aggravated robbery following the hold up of two service stations on Wednesday - one of which was hit again on Friday.
Police also alleged the man robbed a pharmacy in Newlands on Saturday.
A small axe was used in all four robberies.
The man was also charged with possession of a methamphetamine pipe.
He was remanded in custody with name suppression till Wednesday.
