Herald senior writer Claire Harvey took top honours at the travel journalism awards in Auckland last night.
Harvey, deputy editor of the Weekend Herald's canvas magazine, won best newspaper travel story for In Between Two Worlds, on Shanghai, and went on to win the award for Cathay Pacific travel writer of the year.
Her prize is a trip to Vietnam, courtesy of Cathay Pacific and Adventure World travel.
