Avondale pohutukawa saved

An almost century-old pohutukawa in Avondale has been saved after the Tree Council (Auckland) began legal action.

The developer of a new business park at 317-321 Rosebank Rd has agreed to keep the tree if the legal appeal is withdrawn, said tree council spokeswoman Sigrid Shayer. An oak beside it will also stay.
