Business student Michael Teoh represented the Auckland University of Technology at a Harvard University conference in Malaysia earlier this month.
The conference, the university's largest outside America, was part of the 2008 Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations.
Mr Teoh was invited to attend by Harvard University.
More than 300 global youth leaders met some of the world's top executives, researchers and industry experts to discuss the future of business and innovation in Asia-Pacific.
The youth leaders were selected on academic and social contributions, intellect and their ability to influence the future of Asian business.
Mr Teoh, 21, was the only New Zealand delegate selected.
He is in his third year of a business degree, majoring in marketing and international business.
