An Australian motorist who knocked down a New Zealand tourist in Melbourne while speeding has been found guilty of culpable driving causing death.
A County Court jury in Melbourne this week found Hayden James Dickinson, 31, guilty, the Herald-Sun newspaper said today.
It had heard that Dickinson struck New Zealander Peter Charles McLean, 44, at an intersection about 3am on February 22, 2004.
He was speeding up to 90km/h.
Judge Leo Hart is yet to sentence Dickinson.
