Trains will start running again across parts of Auckland tomorrow, but the eastern line through Glen Innes and the link between Newmarket and Britomart will remain closed for construction.
The region's entire network has been shut since Christmas Day to allow hundreds of KiwiRail staff and contractors to prepare for electrification, including installing new signals, raising bridges and upgrading stations. Buses have replaced trains across the region.
