Two clip-on lanes of the Auckland Harbour Bridge have reopened following the completion of maintenance work that had closed them since Boxing Day.
NZ Transport Agency spokesman Steve Mutton said the northbound lanes opened just after midnight following work to re-surface about 1400 square metres of road.
"The bridge is Auckland's most critical transport link and the re-surfacing work is part of the ongoing maintenance work we undertake every day of the year to ensure it remains in a first-class and safe condition for the tens of thousands of Aucklanders who rely on it every day," he said.
Motorists have been thanked for their patience.
