A woman who stabbed her partner to death at an east Auckland property in December has pleaded guilty.
Xiaoyan Hu, 31, was initially charged with assault but the charge was upgraded to manslaughter.
She pleaded guilty at the High Court at Auckland this morning.
Her lawyer Barry Hart said his client disagreed with some of the aspect's of the Crown's summary of facts.
Hu's partner Jiacui Xiao, 45, was found critically injured by a stab wound to his neck when police arrived at a house on Willoughby Ave, Howick, on December 8. He died while being taken to hospital.
