Trains on Auckland's southern and eastern lines are running up to 13 minutes late this morning because of a points failure at Penrose.
Auckland Transport spokesman Mark Hannan said the failure occurred at 6.12am and was restored by 6.45am but the incident caused a "knock-through effect" on train schedules.
He said services on the western and Onehunga lines were unaffected, and all services would return to normal by 10am.
