Auckland trains delayed after grass fire

Train services are delayed this afternoon after a grass fire halted all services temporarily.

The fire was located near the bridge over Parnell Rise.

The fire service was called to the scene at 3.06pm this afternoon.

All trains were stopped as a precaution and resumed at approximately 3.30pm. Some trains leaving Britomart are delayed by up to 10 minutes.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
