Auckland tourism benefit

Auckland could benefit as a stopover destination in an offer from Qantas to American tourists.

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh yesterday announced her Government had partnered with Qantas and Tourism Tropical North Queensland to offer cheap flights, with a free stopover in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Auckland.

The Qantas flights are on sale until March 31 for travel from May 1 to June 8 and July 24 to September 21.
