A teenager will face trial in the High Court at Auckland after yesterday denying that he abducted and raped a 20-year-old woman he had met in the Globe bar in the central city.
Vipul Romik Sharma, 19, unemployed from Papatoetoe, was jointly charged with rape, abduction, assault and threatening to kill the woman on February 16.
His co-accused, Sukhwinder Singh, 32, has already pleaded guilty and been sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison.
Police said the woman told them both men raped her and Sharma took photographs of the attack.
When Sharma fell asleep she drove him straight to Auckland Central police station.
