Two men are going before court today after allegedly using an angle grinder to break into a car yard, stealing two jet skis and then ramming into two police cars while fleeing.
Police were called to Go RV Caravans & Leisure in Albany Village after two people were spotted using the angle grinder to get in about 12.11am today.
The offenders then fled across the city, towing a trailer with the stolen jet skis, getting caught by police on Dominion Rd.
Police are still trying to track down a possible third person in connection with the incident.

Auckland City West acting area commander Inspector Wayne Kitcher said police have charged a 38-year-old and a 40-year-old with burglary, failing to stop, reckless driving and intentional damage.
“This type of crime is unacceptable and has no place in our community and we want to reassure the community that this type of offending will not be tolerated,” Kitcher said.
The two men will appear in the North Shore District Court.

The entrance to the car yard was cordoned off with police tape.
Shortly afterwards police spotted a vehicle near Kumeū towing two jetskis, which were stolen from the caravan store.
Police tracked the vehicle to Dominion Rd in Mt Roskill where it collided with two police vehicles, causing minor damage before coming to a stop against the kerb.

Kitcher said, “thankfully, no officers involved were injured”.
Two occupants jumped out and fled to a nearby address. At least a dozen police vehicles were at the scene along with dog handlers and the police helicopter circling overhead.
Two men - one in an orange jacket, the second wearing a black jumper - were arrested and the vehicles involved were towed.
