Police were today still searching for a man believed to have entered a house in Blockhouse Bay yesterday morning with a gun tucked under his shirt.
A search of the house in central Auckland revealed a firearm hidden inside, but police have not yet located the man.
The Dundale Ave address was the subject of an armed police response this morning, after a tip-off was received about a man seen going into the property with what appeared to be a gun under his top.
Half a dozen police cars and the police dog squad attended when police responded at 10am.
The man was not believed to be dangerous to the general public and was wanted for "one isolated incident," in relation to firearms possession police said.
