Emergency services have reopened the Northwestern Motorway in Auckland following a serious crash between two cars.
The incident resulted in one of the vehicles rolling - it took place around 7.20pm and the road was closed shortly afterwards.
However, following several hours State Highway 16 was reopened to the public.
The incident took place on the motorway's northbound lanes, north of Lincoln Rd.
Initial indications suggested one person sustained serious injuries in the collision, the police said in a statement to media.
