Auckland mayors to back regional transport agency

Auckland mayors vow to back a new regional transport agency even if decisions due today leave them grumbling about who will control it.

A delegation is heading for Wellington for expected announcements from this morning's Cabinet meeting about legislation for the new agency.

Auckland City Mayor John Banks and North Shore counterpart George Wood joined Rodney Mayor John Law in saying they would support the new structure.
