Auckland man with dementia found

An elderly man missing from a Auckland resthome since early this afternoon has been found.

Alfred Forbes, 79, was reported missing from the Gillies Court Retirement Home in Epsom at 1.45pm.

Police said he was found about 6.45pm walking in Penrose.

Mr Forbes, who has dementia, was well and had been taken home, police said.
