The man who allegedly stabbed another man at Auckland City Hospital yesterday, leaving him in a critical condition, has appeared in court.
Brian Steven Baldwin, 56, was remanded in custody without entering a plea until his next appearance next month.
Baldwin has been charged injuring the man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
His lawyer argued for interim name suppression because the police investigation is ongoing, but was declined by the judge.
Baldwin allegedly stabbed another man at the hospital yesterday afternoon after an altercation about 3pm.
