Auckland's landmarks will go green tonight as the harbour bridge, the Sky Tower and the Auckland War Memorial Museum all light up for St Patrick's Day.
Auckland Council's Sara Cairney said the Vector Lights on the harbour bridge will switch on from 8pm.
"Auckland is leading the global 'greening' on St Patrick's Day: as the first [major] city to see the sun rise, we'll also be the first to see sunset on 17 March and the city's landmarks are lighting up," Cairney said.
"Our solar energy technology makes us even greener!"
The Sky Tower and the Auckland War Memorial Museum at the domain will also go green.
