AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
No public consultation, but holding talks with key stakeholders and community boards. Hiring consultants and flying councillors overseas to study Brisbane model.
NORTH SHORE CITY COUNCIL
Holding public meetings to gauge community views.
First meeting in Glenfield on Monday attracted about 40 people.

WAITAKERE CITY COUNCIL
Distributing a brochure entitled "Bigger ... or Better?" at local events.
Meeting residents' and ratepayers' groups on March 20 and holding a forum on April 5 for community and environmental groups, businesses and other stakeholders.
MANUKAU CITY COUNCIL
Holding three public forums (times and dates to be confirmed) to gauge community views. Encouraging community boards to make submissions independent of council.
Notifying 110,000 households of royal commission's open letter to Aucklanders in Manukau Matters newsletter on Sunday.
RODNEY DISTRICT COUNCIL
Press and radio campaign encouraging residents to have a say. Leaflets available at council service centres and libraries.
FRANKLIN DISTRICT COUNCIL
Councillor workshops and public meetings to gauge community views.
March 18: Buckland Hall, Buckland, 7.30pm.
March 19: Tuakau (details to be confirmed).
March 20: Meeting businesses in Pukekohe.
Waiuku meeting still to be arranged.
PAPAKURA DISTRICT COUNCIL
No public consultation. Relying on councillors to draw up submission.
AUCKLAND REGIONAL COUNCIL No public consultation. Relying on councillors to draw up submission.
