One of four people who died in Auckland’s devastating flooding on Friday has been named by police.
Daniel Mark Miller, 34, of Wairau Valley was found dead in a culvert on Target Rd on Friday evening.
Police said in a statement that they extend sympathies to his family and friends. His death has been referred to the Coroner.
Miller had earlier filmed himself walking through the floodwater offering assistance to residents.
He is one of the four people who died after raging floodwaters and slips caused by an unprecedented deluge of rain across Auckland - easily the city’s wettest day on record. Police today found a body of a man missing in Onewhero since Friday.
