Doctor Scott Waghorn, of DentalCare West in the Auckland suburb of Glen Eden, is offering about $25,000 worth of free dental work today - for the third year running.
He said the high cost of dental care in New Zealand remains the biggest barrier to access.
Dr Waghorn added that unhealthy teeth can lead to other health problems if left untreated.
"Certainly having a nice healthy mouth gives you a nice healthy body."
