Two women charged with kidnapping an 11-day-old baby from an Auckland home in August can now be named.
Nadene Faye Manukau-Togiavalu,21, and Sydnee Shaunna Toulapapa, 19, lost their bid to prevent their names being published after Justice David Carruthers lifted their name suppression in the Auckland District Court on Tuesday.
Toulapapa appeared in court supported by family and has been granted bail until her next appearance on December 6.
Manukau-Togiavalu was excused from appearing and is being held in custody until her next appearance in October.
On August 9, police launched a major search operation involving about 80 officers after being told a small girl had been taken from an Epsom home about 7am.
