Auckland Airport's domestic terminal was temporarily evacuated this morning after a fire sprinkler was set off.
A spokesman for the airport said the sprinkler was activated at Jetstar's domestic terminal baggage hold area around 8.45am.
"We think that it may have been caused by a contractor hitting something, but we're
yet to confirm that.
"There is some water around, so we're just waiting for that to be sorted."
Two domestic flight arrivals and three departures were affected as a result of the evacuation, the spokesman said.
