Attempted abduction of two schoolgirls

There has been an attempted abduction of two young girls from Hill Park school in Manurewa, in south Auckland, this morning.

Deputy principal Terry O'Meara said an elderly lady asked an eight and 10-year-old girl to get in her yellow car, and made a grab for one of the girls.

The lady was not known to the girls who refused and ran off.

The school then rang the police who are investigating.

Newstalk ZB reported the woman police are seeking had white or grey hair.
