The dobermann that savaged an elderly wheelchair-bound woman has been handed over to dog control officers.
Dawn Brocket, 75, had surgery on a puncture wound in her arm after the attack in Matangi last week. She was furious to find out the dog had been impounded over an attack a fortnight earlier, then released.
A Matangi resident had called dog control after the dog and a boxer-cross from the same address attacked her collie.
Waikato District Council's Nath Pritchard said the dogs had been returned because no damage had been done.
