The Atkinson sisters were in dominant form at the Trevs Wairarapa junior closed tennis championships held at the Masterton Tennis Centre last Sunday. Georgia Atkinson is only 7yrs but she won the girls 10yrs singles while her sister Sade won the girls 12yrs singles and the girls 14yrs doubles.
Toby Tuoro returned from school in Huntly to win the boys 12yrs singles and doubles while Henry Phelps, who is just 8yrs, got through to the semi-finals of the boys 10yrs singles at his first tournament. Oliver Donald from Rathkeale College took out the singles and doubles titles in the boys 14yrs group and Anlo van Deventer followed up her 2006 12yrs singles title by winning the 14yrs singles this time round.
