Buses in the main centres could sport atheist messages early next year. The New Zealand Atheist Bus Campaign has been launched in Wellington with the aim of raising $10,000 for bus ads. The ads created a storm when they ran on the London Underground and British buses this year. The ads read: "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life". Campaign spokesman Simon Fisher said they would provoke discussion about religion. He said he thought it was as much a statement of faith to say that there was definitely no God as it was to say there was a God.
