Billboards promoting atheism are to go up around the country, four months after a bus company refused to carry the ads.
The Atheist Bus Campaign raised more than $22,000 to fund the bus ads, but after NZ Bus received several complaints in February, it declined to run them. The ads read: "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life."
The campaign group is pursuing a discrimination case against NZ Bus through the Office of Human Rights Proceedings. The billboards are to appear in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch within three weeks.
