KEY POINTS:
At least one person has died in a fatal crash at Rangiora, north of Christchurch, this morning.
Police said the crash happened at the intersection of Plaskett Rd and Johns Rd a couple of kilometres west of the township.
Part of Johns Rd was closed to traffic at about 8.20am and was not expected to open until this afternoon.
