Aston Martin has lifted the covers on its tiny 'Cygnet' compact concept car.
The blue-ribbon sportscar maker is still coy on the spec for the vehicle, which is based on Toyota's iQ platform.
It is being pitched as a luxury vehicle for inner-city commuters, with development work continuing into 2010.
It looks like the Cygnet will borrow heavily from the Aston style catalogue with the instantly-recognisable front grille, rear lights and door handles all appearing on images released by the British company.
The luxurious leather interior is shown in gaudy colour in the concept images, and includes an iPod dock built into its dash.
Aston Martin describes the Cygnet concept as a "creative, environmentally conscious solution, being small, yet with presence – and highly fuel efficient, now combined with the prestige of Aston Martin's luxury brand ownership."
