The man bashed and kidnapped by three other men in south Auckland last night is out of hospital but police say there is no sign of his attackers.
The man was assaulted by three men as he got into his car in Papakura about 5.30pm yesterday. He was bundled into his vehicle and driven off but escaped a short distance down the road and was taken to the police station.
The men continued to drive his car off and it has not yet been recovered.
He man was taken to hospital for treatment to suspected facial fractures, lacerations and severe bruising to his face and legs.
Counties Manukau police appealed to anyone with information about the attack, or the man's car, a white 1998 Honda Integra, registered number DGF272, to call them.
