Assault on baby

A 22-year-old man has been charged with assault after a baby was admitted to hospital last week with brain injuries.

The 11-month-old baby boy was at Starship children's hospital in Auckland on Friday in a critical condition. The man, who is related to the baby, is due to appear in Auckland District Court today.
