Q: We bought our daughter a phone from Noel Leeming for Christmas. It then started to not receive texts so we took it back to the store. It was reprogrammed but a month later it had the same fault. It was sent away again and no fault was found. Her SIM card works fine in my phone. A few weeks later, it happened again. What are our rights? - Barbara, Wellsford
A: Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, you have a right to a refund or replacement if there is a significant problem with something you've bought. I spoke to Noel Leeming and they have arranged for you to bring the phone in again. If it is still not fixed, seek a replacement.
