KEY POINTS:
New Zealand is hosting its first Opportunities in Asia (OIA) conference for international finance, accounting and business students interested in working or living overseas. Sessions will be run in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in the first week of June.
CPA experts on trends in employment and industry developments from Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China and Australia will be travelling to New Zealand to present on opportunities in their respective countries. NZ Immigration representatives will also present on employment trends in the region.
Each OIA session will run from 5.15 pm until 7.30 pm. The event takes place in Auckland on June 4 at Room 1, Skycity Convention Centre, 88 Federal Street, Auckland; in Wellington on June 5 in Lecture Theatre 2, Old Government Building (Law School) , 15 Lambton Quay and in Christchurch on Friday, June 6 in the Christchurch Convention Centre, Meeting Room 1 and 2, 95 Kilmore Street.
Mr Chuck Zhang, CPA Australia, Beijing Regional Office Chief Representative will be in New Zealand for three days as part of the Opportunities in Asia conference. He will be available for interviews on the trends and industry developments in careers in China, a topic of particular interest given New Zealand and Chinas recent Free Trade Agreement and Chinas rapid growth.
