ASB outage: Bank customers reported having issues accessing app and banking services

ASB customers were unable to use banking services this morning.

It’s app and website appeared to be down for a time.

The bank tweeted, “We’re aware some customers are having issues accessing the ASB Mobile app and other online banking services. Our teams are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Credit and debit card payments are not affected.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience.”

One customer told the Herald he had tried to use Eftpos at the BP station but and it didn’t work.

Just before 1pm, a spokeswoman said banking services “are now available, after a short outage this morning due to a technical issue. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience”.
